Job Status Types
Open
The job is created and scheduled but not yet started. This is the default status when a new job is made.
On Hold
The job is temporarily paused. This status is useful for delays due to customer requests, weather, or missing parts.
In Progress
The technician is currently performing the work. This helps dispatchers and admins monitor active field jobs.
Completed
The job has been finished. Once marked as completed, it becomes ready for invoicing or payment collection.
Cancelled
The job has been called off. Cancelled jobs remain in records for reference but are excluded from active schedules and analytics.
Workflow Overview
Jobs typically move through this sequence:
Open → In Progress → Completed → InvoicedIf interrupted, jobs can switch to On Hold or Cancelled at any point.
For recurring jobs, each visit follows the same workflow automatically.
Use Case
Maintaining accurate job statuses ensures visibility for both office and field teams. It improves dispatch coordination, reporting accuracy, and customer communication.
